One great thing about living in Vegas is free stuff. And, contrary to popular belief, you don't have to be a gambler to get it. You only need to know where to look. One of my favorite services you should check out is Vegas Seat Fillers. You can pay for a premium membership for first dibs at tickets, but I have not found that necessary. Only locals are eligible and you have to be willing to be spontaneous, but in the past few days I've received offers for free tickets ranging from the fabulous erotic show Fashionistas (Empire Ballroom) to comedian Rosanne Barr (New York New York).
Here is how it works. You go the website http://www.vegasseatfillers.com/ and sign up, after which e-mails will arrive every day informing you of shows you can have tickets to see that night for free. If interested, there is a contact number to arrange for the tickets. When the tickets are gone, another e-mail informs you the window is closed. Couldn’t be simpler.
Of course, if you need to see a hot show, don’t hold your breath for your favorite this way: neither the Cirque shows nor Elton John tickets ever seem to turn up on Vegas Seat Fillers. But if you’re willing to take a chance with your time, Vegas Seat Fillers offers you a free night out. Enjoy.
