American Idol spin-off The Search for the Next Great American Band kicks off this fall, but don’t look for Las Vegas’ Kid Deposit Triumph among the reality show’s horde of hopeful participants. The local metalcore outfit is no longer searching for a record contract, having landed a deal with Epic by winning another battle of the bands.
The six-piece KDT, a scene mainstay since 2003, emerged from a nationwide field of 2,500 to come out on top of the rock category in a 12-week, online, video-based music competition run by artist development company Music Nation. Take that, Ryan Seacrest!
