COMING TO TOWN

Julie Seabaugh, Spencer Patterson

The Berg Sans Nipple

Along the Quai ***

France and Nebraska, working together as nature intended? One dude’s from Paris, the other Omaha, with an electronic-pop sound that’s far more hypno/dreamy Air than achy/earnest Saddle Creek. The Nipple’s relaxed but catchy vibe should warm the crowd up nicely for the show’s hyper-dancey main act. –SP

Opening for The Faint with Services. June 7, 7 p.m., $17. House of Blues, 632-7600.

The Cliks

Snakehouse *** 1/2

The Canadian quartet evokes The Pretenders, Hole and a less-aggressive Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and not just because vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Lucas Silveira is a transgendered male. In addition to a non-ironic take on “Cry Me a River,” this formidable debut boasts languid, soulful and defiant rock dripping with more authentic angst than the entire emo genre combined. –JS

With Lips Like Morphine. June 7, 9 p.m., $5. Beauty Bar, 598-1965.
