DREAM ZONE WITH LAURI QUINN LOEWENBERG

Lauri Quinn Loewenberg

In my dream I am waking from sleep. I tell my husband that my ears feel like they are draining. I notice blood coming out of each ear. I feel a sense of panic, which turns to peace. Then I wake up for real.

–Judy, 42, Vancouver, BC

Lauri: What have you “woken up” and realized in your life that you had previously been unaware of ? Your ears are your ability to listen to what others have to say or even to listen to yourself. Has someone recently given you some advice or told you something that “woke you up” to reality? The draining blood suggests something has been “draining you” lately. Have fearful or anxious thoughts been clogging your head? The panic and the peace you feel in the dream is a reflection of feelings you have been having in waking life. What have you been panicking over in real life? And what are you feeling better about? The point at which we wake up from a dream is usually the most important point the dream is making.

Judy replies: I believe that I have not been listening to myself. I also have been made aware that I block possibilities in my life by being too rigid in my thinking. I believe the energy drain has something to do with a “wrongful dismissal” case with my previous employer and my worry about finding work after looking for 7 months. I am, however, beginning to trust the universe and what it has in store for me. Thank you!
