Sal’s Celebrity Selectors — Week 7

We're not even halfway through the season yet, and I'm already prepared to make the same declaration I make every season.

I think I know a lot about the NFL, but the truth is, I know nothing.

Here are 10 statements I could have made -- and in the case of a few of them, I did -- as the season began, or even after the first couple of weeks.

1. "The Falcons might actually be a better team without Michael Vick."

2. "The Saints should be ready to take the next step and make the Super Bowl."

3. "Steven Jackson is the obvious No. 2 pick in any fantasy draft."

4. "The Giants are awful. They gave up 80 points in two games and their defense is all banged up. Strahan should have held out all year."

5. "Larry Johnson is the obvious No. 3 pick in any fantasy draft."

6. "As long as Chad Pennington stays healthy, the Jets should make the playoffs again. Eric Mangini can do no wrong."

7. "The Chargers are the team to beat, especially now that they got rid of conservative Marty Schottenheimer."

8. "Shaun Alexander is the obvious No. 4 pick in any fantasy draft."

9. "Brett Favre is only sticking around to break Marino's record. Without a running game, the Packers are in for a tough season."

10. "Without being able to cheat and tape the others teams' signals, the Patriots will no more than an average team, and Moss will be unhappy because they won't use his enough."
