Why do so many generic U.K. bands get signed to major labels (in this case, Interscope) while hordes of interesting—and in many cases more saleable—American acts languish 
independently? Why is the sky blue? The London quartet’s gussied-up garage rock apes ELO, Queen and The Hives, all badly, mixing in heady lyrics like “I’d really like to see ya/I wouldn’t wanna be ya” for good measure. –Spencer Patterson
