The new year resident artist shuffle across the Las Vegas clubscape continues to, well, shuffle. After Zouk Group announced T-Pain as its latest roster addition (just before Christmas), the Resorts World-based nightlife company has bolstered its lineup with Odesza, the electronic duo that set off New Year’s Eve at Zouk Nightclub; Illenium, the DJ and producer who made Vegas history with the first ticketed music event at Allegiant Stadium in 2021; and most recently, James Hype, one of the U.K.’s most prolific house DJs.

Meanwhile, former Zouk star Tiësto started 2024 with the announcement that he’ll spend the year bouncing between Tao Group and Groot Hospitality venues in Las Vegas, an unprecedented double residency that will see the Dutchman spinning at LIV Nightclub at Fontainebleau (starting with his birthday celebration on January 19) as well as Omnia at Caesars Palace, Tao Beach Dayclub at the Venetian and Wet Republic at MGM Grand. “"Nobody delivers an experience like Tiësto,” Groot Hospitality and LIV founder David Grutman said in a statement. “He is an electronic music icon. His brand-new residency at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, in a first of its kind partnership between Fontainebleau, Groot Hospitality and Tao Group Hospitality, is going to be legendary. I can't wait to show Vegas, and the world, what we're going to do at LIV and LIV Beach."

And that brings us to Zedd, another electronic music star who helped open Resorts World at Zouk Nightclub and Ayu Dayclub. He’s also shifting gears and teaming with Tao Group Hospitality for a 2024 residency, kicking things off at Omnia on February 10 during Super Bowl weekend. Like Tiësto, Zedd was a Hakkasan Group resident artist when that company was absorbed by the Tao Group. “We look forward to welcoming Zedd back to Omnia and Wet Republic and are excited about his debut at Tao Beach Dayclub this year,” Tao’s co-CEO Jason Strauss said in a statement.

Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas will be simply explosive. Shaquille O’Neal’s Shaq’s Fun House will take over XS at Wynn on February 9, an immersive carnival featuring live performances from Lil Wayne, Diplo, and Shaq himself as DJ Diesel. Tickets are available at shaqsfunhouse.com. Then on February 10, Sports Illustrated The Party hits XS, headlined by the Chainsmokers and Kygo. Those tickets are at sitheparty.com. And the Michelob Ultra Country Club Super Bowl party at Topgolf on February 10 will feature Lil Wayne, T-Pain and Alesso, with early bird tickets at michelobultra.com/ultracountryclub. Stay tuned to LasVegasWeekly.com as more big bashes will be announced soon.

The new Bel-Aire Lounge at Durango Casino launches its Ladies’ Nights promotion this week, with a DJ set from Maria Romano and an event hosted by influencer Angelina Florczyk on January 18. The weekly event will include live entertainment and exclusive giveaways every Thursday night, always including Bel-Aire’s cocktail and global small plates menus. More info can be found at belaireloungelv.com.

Also at Durango, The George Sportsmen’s Lounge has launched its Saturday “après-ski” parties, starting at 10 p.m. and featuring fire pits, hot toddies, a ski chairlift photo opp, DJs, bottle service and signature winter cocktails on the expansive outdoor patio. Cozy up in your best ski vacation apparel and check it out at thegeorgelv.com.
