"Top Chef" celebrity chef Carla Pellegrino has become part-owner of Meatball Spot at Town Square, a conveniently placed casual Italian hotspot near the Yardhouse. According to "Kats Report"columnist John Katsilometes, the restaurant specializes in all varieties of meatballs, from traditional beef, sausage and turkey, to even veggie. Pellegrino has concocted various sauces. The menu includes a wide array of pizzas, pasta dishes and salads.
Her formal business partners in the Meatball Spot are longtime Las Vegas hospitality executive Tom Recine and Charissa Davidovici.
The Weekly's Jim Begley suggests sticking with the classics in his December 2012 review of the restaurant.
The Meatball Spot sometimes draws celebrities, including UFC fighter Frank Mir, boxing legend Leon Spinks and boxing referee Joe Cortez
