All The Vegas Podcast: Wynn Nightlife’s ‘Queen of House’ Zee Zandi

Image
Zee Zandi is keeping Vegas on the cutting edge.

As executive director of artist development and strategy at Wynn Nightlife, Zee Zandi is helping to build a colorful, creative soundtrack for the Las Vegas nightclub and dayclub scene. That sonic curation has become increasingly diverse in recent years at Wynn’s venues XS, Encore Beach Club and Intrigue as more artists with connections to the European party scene have landed on the Strip, epitomized by the landmark Art of the Wild weekend, which returns to Wynn March 22-24. Zandi is an essential contributor to this musical movement and one of the most influential industry figures for more than 20 years now.

We also talk with Zee about the coffee shop she opened while she was a student at UNLV; her love of house and techno music and how that passion helped change the sound of Vegas nightlife; what it’s like to work behind the scenes with the world’s biggest dance music artists; how Wynn partnered with Drake for an exclusive residency at XS Nightclub this year; and how the NFL will impact the Vegas party scene.

EPISODE 20: THE VEGAS YOU NEED

Zee has great taste in Vegas Thai food and has been lunching at the fantastic new version of the legendary Lotus of Siam.

Mark always stops in at Makers & Finders Coffee whenever he’s roaming Downtown Summerlin.

Brock believes it’s time to return to Cirque du Soleil’s Mystére to rediscover a consistently amazing, classic Vegas experience.
