Illusionist Xavier Mortimer, who spent the last year creating innovative digital content and boosting his online following to an audience of approximately 10 million, is set to open his all-new show The Dream Maker in the Strat Theater on July 1.

It’s the first new show announced for the refreshed 600-seat showroom at the Strat under a new partnership with SPI Entertainment, which produces several shows on the Strip and similarly manages the Thunderland Showroom at Excalibur.

Mortimer first performed in Las Vegas as one of the stars of Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay before going solo with his own Magical Dream production, opening in 2017 at the Sin City Theater at Planet Hollywood. Since 2019, his show has been playing at the Magic Attic at Bally’s.

Mortimer and producer/director Alex Goude have reimagined the entire production from the storyline to the music—the magician is also a musician—in order to make use of the larger theater space at the Strat.

“There’s nothing like performing in front of a live audience and I am thrilled to finally be able to get back on stage in Las Vegas after a 15-month break,” Mortimer said in a statement. “Plus, I’ll be bringing some of my top online illusions to the stage for the first time in our new home at the Strat. This will be an all-new, updated show that will be more magical and entertaining than ever.”
