Christina Aguilera will headline a grand opening celebration concert at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on June 10 and tickets for the show are on sale now. It will be the first major live entertainment event at the Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
Aguilera is set to perform with rapper Flo Rida and DJ Mix Master Mike at 8 p.m. on June 10 at the 4,500-person venue formerly known as the Joint under the old Hard Rock Hotel banner. Local entertainer and host Mark Shunock will serve as emcee and a special appearance by Virgin founder Richard Branson is planned, signaling a major celebration for Virgin Las Vegas, which opened on March 25. The renovated property is also set to debut its dayclub, Élia Beach Club, on June 10.
The Theater at Virgin has hosted Top Rank boxing events at limited capacity in recent weeks. Entertainment venues are expected to return to full capacity on June 1. AEG Presents is booking the refurbished venue.
Aguilera had been performing a musical residency show at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood since the summer of 2019 and seems to have wrapped that production in early March 2020. Gwen Stefani and Shania Twain recently announced their residency comebacks at Zappos Theater but Aguilera’s show is not listed on the Planet Hollywood website.
