In a tearful video posted to her social media accounts Thursday afternoon, Adele announced that her highly anticipated residency show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, set to begin Friday, January 21, will be postponed.

“We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID,” she said, noting that half her crew is dealing with the virus. “We’ve run out of time and I’m so upset, and really embarrassed, and I’m so sorry to everyone that’s traveled again. I’m really, really sorry.”

The singer said all dates will be rescheduled. Ticketmaster's website has marked all events as postponed and recommends fans hold onto their tickets as they will be valid for new dates; refunds are available according to event details of each order.

Caesars Palace has posted this statement on social media: "We understand the disappointment surrounding the postponement of Weekends With Adele. Adele is an incredible artist, supremely dedicated to her music and her fans. Creating a show of this magnitude is incredibly complex. We fully support Adele and are confident the show she unveils at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace will be extraordinary."

The Weekends With Adele residency was announced in November, 24 concerts on Friday and Saturday nights at the Colosseum running from January 21 through April 16. Ticket demand was so high that a traditional public on-sale was unnecessary; the shows sold out via Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan sign-up process.
