David Blaine was likely the most famous magician who did not have a steady gig in Las Vegas, until now. The extreme illusionist and stunt artist known for being encased in a block of ice for three days and submerged under water for a week will launch his first-ever residency show at Resorts World Theatre on September 30.

Tickets for the first six shows of David Blaine Live go on sale May 23 at axs.com. The first dates are September 30; October 1, 28 and 29; and December 16 and 17.

“Resorts World Theatre has sparked my imagination and I am so excited to create something unique in magic,” Blaine said in a statement.

The 5,000-seat theater programmed and operated by Concerts West/AEG Presents opened late last year and has already hosted concert residencies performed by Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan. Michael Bublé recently performed a limited engagement there as well. Resorts World Las Vegas opened in June 2021.

“Seeing the greatest magician in the world in the newest, state-of-the-art theater in Las Vegas will be a show unlike anything this city has ever seen before,” Bobby Reynolds, Senior Vice President of AEG Presents, said in a statement. “Combining forces will make for a truly spectacular production, and we can’t wait for live audiences to be blown away.”

In addition to the millions of viewers who have seen Blaine perform on his Street Magic specials and other programs, live audiences of over 20,000 have watched him in arena shows around the world, according to today’s announcement.
