Downtown's Writer's Block Book Shop remains closed while its proprietors take a few extra weeks to "restock and clean our store, reincorporate our staff and implement safety protocols for both our staff and shoppers."

But Writer's Block never stopped selling books, games, puzzles and other homebound necessities during the lockdown, and they continue to perform contact-free transactions through their online store. Orders can be mailed (free of charge for all purchases over $20) or picked up curbside at the store (Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m.–11 a.m. and 3–5 p.m.). You'll want to know that because the store is having a sale, and it's a doozy.

During what Writer's Block describes as its "first-ever seasonal sale," the shop is offering hundreds of titles—fiction and poetry, children's and young adult, art and design, science and nature, history and social studies and more—at a deep 50 percent off of the store's regular discounted sales price. You can see the complete list of titles here, purchase them on the site and receive them through the two aforementioned methods.

There's no listed end date to the sale; presumably, it'll end when the shop has moved enough titles to make room for new stuff. But you should hurry to the site regardless, because I'm browsing it right now and there's a strong possibility that I like what you like.
