Another retro-themed salon is making a splash Downtown. Atomic Style Lounge, a vintage-themed beauty salon and antique store on Main Street in the Arts District, celebrated its grand opening on April 13. The Mad Men-inspired parlor comes just months after pin-up themed Bombshell Brazilian Waxing and Beauty Lounge opened in the Ogden on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Atomic Style Lounge specializes in era-specific looks but also provides full salon services including styling, makeup, color and cuts for men and women. Adding to the Golden era-concept, all stylists don vintage-inspired outfits and 'dos—because who doesn’t trust their tresses with someone rocking victory rolls?

Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender founder Tom Ingram is one of Atomic’s partners, bringing added authenticity to the Downtown spot. The salon’s grand-opening party was held one day before the opening night of Ingram’s recent four-day festival. “Vegas is the perfect location for our concept, because mid-century culture is so big here, and people come from all over the world to be a part of it.” Ingram said in a news release.

More bonuses for the rockabilly connoisseur: Mid-century antiques and collectibles are for sale in the shop's storefront, and the salon will also host bands and DJs for events. A classic aquamarine 1960 Cadillac is available for bridal parties, bachelor/ette parties and more.

Atomic Style Lounge 1237 S. Main St., 702-329-0770. Tue-Wed, 11 a.m- 7 p.m.; Fri-Sat, 10 a.m-8 p.m.; Sun, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. atomicstylelounge.com.
