First it was cupcakes, then it was doughnuts. Now the sweet treat taking Las Vegas by storm is the simple and beloved cookie. But it’s not just any cookie. We’re talking about an entire store dedicated to frosted sugar cookies.
Hailing from St. George, Utah, the Sugar Cookie opened up its second location, and first Vegas shop, earlier this month. The dessert destination offers gourmet cookies with an assortment of delicious and buttery flavors including lemon, cherry, orange, coconut, red velvet, chocolate cherry and chocolate peanut butter in both mini and large sizes. It also offers shortbread cookies (with lemon or raspberry filling) and snicker doodles, and features a seasonal pumpkin chocolate chip flavor from October through December.
The Sugar Cookie bakes its cookies from scratch all day—and we can vouch that their cookies are surprisingly soft and moist, though the real MVP here is the icing. In fact, the fresh-baked delights are kind of like flat cupcakes—or jacked-up cookies on sugar-steroids. Whatever they are, they’re awesome.
