Battle of the Bands is returning to the City of Henderson this spring. First held at the City’s 2012 Fourth of July Celebration, Battle of the Bands will take the stage of the newly renovated Water Street Plaza Amphitheatre on March 27. The top five bands will perform; the top three bands will be awarded prize money and future bookings at City of Henderson Signature events. Events in Las Vegas get canceled every now and then. It doesn’t hurt checking with the venue to confirm the listing. Battle of the Bands is open to ages 16 years and up. Registration is $20 per band. Sign up through cityofhenderson.com (use activity code 151414-00) or stop by any City of Henderson recreation center now through Feb. 19. The top five finalists will be announced on March 5.
Potential competitors must submit a two-song performance video to qualify for the contest. One song is to be a cover version of a song and the other is to be completely original and written by the band.
