Join us to celebrate National Public Lands Day with a morning trails cleanup out at Mountain’s Edge Regional Park on Saturday, September 25th from 9am-11am. Parking is available on site, registered volunteers will receive a meeting spot map and event details a few days before the event. All ages are welcome, minors without an adult guardian present will need to bring a signed waiver. Waivers will be emailed to registrants prior to the event.

Established in 1994 and held annually on the fourth Saturday in September, National Public Lands Day is traditionally the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort. It celebrates the connection between people and green space in their community, inspires environmental stewardship, and encourages use of open space for education, recreation, and health benefits.

We will provide all the tools and supplies required for the event, including gloves, trash grabbers, trash bags, drinking water, snacks and hand sanitizer. Plan ahead for your time outside by wearing comfortable closed toed shoes, bringing plenty of drinking water for yourself, applying sunscreen, and wearing a hat. Volunteers can expect to walk approximately 1 mile on a paved trail route. The safety of our staff and volunteers is a priority and we ask that face coverings be worn during check in and while gathering in common areas where social distancing is not possible.
