“Sweet” doesn’t even begin to describe the full impact of a Dirty Blonde Cocktail, Sunday night, where five ladies and one somewhat bewildered guy sampled the DBC variety pack. The verdict on the Raspberry Flirtini: tastes akin to Fun Dip, a children’s vitamin or sweet raspberry iced tea. The Grapefruit Mimosa fared only slightly better, smelling like marshmallow Peeps and tasting like Easter or, as Ellen put it, like body spray. We much preferred and were eventually torn between the Lime Mintini (“nicely minty without being too mouthwashy,” said Emily) and the Peach Passion Bellini (“smells like vacation,” Jessica reported) for a winner. The latter, we decided, needed only some OJ to tempt us to a second sweet glass.
