As the Valley experiences its first heat wave of the season, it’s important to remember our most vulnerable citizens.

Delivering With Dignity, which was founded during the pandemic, delivers meals to those struggling with poverty or who are at risk of contracting COVID-19, including the elderly and people with underlying medical conditions. Even with the city reopening, volunteers are needed to help deliver meals prepared by partner restaurants.

“The heart and soul of the program are our Food Heroes, who are delivering on average 6,500 meals per week,” says Tiffany Twohig, executive director for Delivering With Dignity. “It’s a great activity for students or a fun way for groups, like businesses, sports teams and organizations, to get together and help their community.”

Volunteers receive 15% off a meal at any of four partner restaurants—Honey Salt, Graffiti Bao, Valencian Gold and the Jolt Coffee Co.—as well as a $30 Amazon gift card and $10 gas gift card for those who work three days in a week. To sign up, visit deliveringwithdignitylv.org.
