TGHO: Thank Goodness Halloween’s Over. Sure, it was fun, but we’re glad it’s done. Our favorite moments? • Free ghoulish makeovers at Moon for JRoc-o-ween, courtesy of the Horror Project. • AWOL Productions keeping the Halloween spirit alive with a respectable turnout for Devil’s Night 13 at Crown. • A crazy intricate war-machine costume popping up all over Vegas, including at Rain for Night of the Killer Costumes (where it took the $10,000 grand prize) and a special last-minute appearance by DJ/producer Matt Darey. • Surprisingly, DJ Pauly D was at Moon without his signature gentleman’s blowout; he went as Justin Bieber. • Swedish House Mafia’s Masquerade Motel taking over the Joint with every square inch full people, serving notice that a massive electronic-music festival in Vegas just might be possible. • The party continuing at Vanity for afterhours with Tiësto spinning a surprise set. • Erick Morillo packing ’em in at Tao, complete with flying witches delivering bottles of champagne around the club. Kick yourself if you missed DJ Shadow’s Live from the Shadowsphere show at House of Blues. The gig had some of the coolest visuals ever, plus a set so incredible it worked the small, musically educated crowd into a frenzy before tugging at heart strings and then going back to elation. Shadow thanked his fans for coming to see him instead of some “douchebag DJ” who wears “Ed Hardy shirts.” It would have been a perfect evening … if the guy in the inflatable penis costume wasn’t a huge dick, blocking our view. This lady likes her liquor. Meet Leslie Sbrocco, founder of the Thirsty Girl social networking site. She’ll stop by SushiSamba on November 11 with the goal of bringing women together to “celebrate libations, laughter, and life.” The event will educate attendees on wine and food pairings. Sushi, sashimi and ceviche will be served. Tickets at tglasvegas.eventbrite.com for $25, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Dress for Success.
