How many Vegas visitors are walking the Strip at night, looking for a funky party to fall into? Thousands. Some have been making a musical discovery in front of Paris Las Vegas, in an intimate and energetic room adjacent to the popular patio-centric Hexx Kitchen & Bar.

Alexxa’s Bar opened early this year as a sangria-oriented offering complementing the restaurant and creating a different drinking option from the frozen boozy venues lining the Boulevard. More recently Alexxa’s has rolled out substantial programming that brings a variety of vibes to the cozy, tasteful space, including DJs like Bayati and Casanova (who also spin upstairs at Chateau Nightclub) and Monday’s acoustic performance by California rock band Trapt.

Alexxa’s Bar, which also hosted a grand-opening party this week showing off the cocktails and cuisine created by executive chefs Carlos Buscaglia and Miranda Prince, also features “unplugged” sets from The Voice’s Ryan Whyte Maloney March 15, 22 and 29 and Country Wednesdays starring Strip stalwart Sam Riddle March 14, 21 and 28. With this country and pop musical mix, Alexxa’s is appealing to tourists without going full-lounge. Veteran Vegas performer Franky Perez takes over for Soul Fridays and Saturdays this month, and his powerhouse sets also run to midnight or later. Of course, if the energy becomes overpowering—or if the sounds have summoned you to the dance floor and you need a break—you can always step out to the patio for a glimpse of Bellagio’s fountains.
