Cocktail of the Week

Cocktail Tree

Sushisamba, The Shoppes at the Palazzo, $70.

“Share and share alike”; “Do unto others…” (yeah, those old chestnuts). But when sublime cocktails are at hand (or in hand), a little goodwill can go a long way. While much of Sushisamba’s menu is intended for sharing, most of the cocktail menu is meant for individual enjoyment. However, having found a cocktail that simply must be experienced, I also found that I could share it with friends by way of Sushisamba’s too-cute Cocktail Tree. Twelve branches offer up as many respectable servings of up to three different cocktails. I decked mine out with the Chu-Cumber shochu, Raspberry Mojito and the sake sommelier’s fave, the versatile Kirinzan Junmai Daiginjo. Forget fences—it’s good cocktails that make good neighbors.
