Mandalay Bay Theater’s remodel for Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson One included 5,412 seat speakers, 295 custom-built LEDs, 28 strobe lights and one must-drink cocktail.

Designing cocktails that bartenders can make quickly is a top priority for beverage programs at showroom bars. Keeping this in mind, J.R. Starkus of Southern Wine & Spirits created a libation that discerning guests would enjoy and bartenders wouldn’t find too complex or time consuming to make.

The One ($14 for 12 ounces/$18 for 20 ounces) captures Grey Goose L’Orange’s vibrant citrus mixed with Grand Marnier and passion fruit for a cocktail that’s bright and a bit playful.

Ingredients:

1 ½ oz. Grey Goose L’Orange vodka

3 oz. orange juice

½ oz. Grand Marnier

½ oz. passion fruit purée

Method: Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain over ice into a Collins glass.
