Nightlife news & notes: Wet Republic’s DJ lineup and more

Twin sister DJ duo Nervo returns to Wet Republic this summer.

Wet Republic revealed its 2014 talent lineup, and like sister club Hakkasan, it’s a mix of new surprises and returning DJs. The pool gains Above & Beyond, Afrojack, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and W&W, with Steve Aoki, Calvin Harris, Nervo and Tiësto among the returnees. In related news, the Review-Journal reports that Wet Republic/Hakkasan operator AMG is no longer overseeing the new Beacher’s Madhouse, which says it opted to be managed by host property MGM Grand.

Light Nightclub drew more than 2,000 attendees for its first LGBT event, Exposure, according to a tweet by co-promoter Eduardo Cordova. Cirque performers put on new, exclusive aerial routines above the crowd as DJs Dave Aude, Joe Gauthreaux and others spun during the one-off event.

Tao will aim to create some “Downtown Tokyo” flavor every week starting January 31. The new Sakebomb Fridays party will feature an LED dragon making its way through the club, which will be decorated with a red-light-district-esque vibe.

Pure Lounge at Pure Nightclub opens up on game day for a luxury viewing experience of the Super Bowl with 18 screens showing the action.

More summer jobs are popping up: Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel is holding four days of casting calls from noon to 4 p.m. on January 27 and 28 and February 3 and 4 at Body English.­­
