As temps in the Valley rise, so do the number of pool hangs opening for regular business. Last week, the Hard Rock Hotel’s pool opened, with the resort announcing that its pioneering Rehab party not only starts April 12 (with singer Robin Thicke), but will now be held on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Tao Beach welcomes sunworshippers on March 13, though its grand opening takes place April 19 (with host Jason Derulo). And on March 17, Palms Pool will swing open its doors—and offer locals free access to boot. The facility’s signature party, Ditch Fridays, opens May 2.

Well, that was quick: Electric Daisy Carnival is already sold out, unloading its stock in record time and, once again, before this year’s lineup reveal. Organizers expect more than 400,000 attendees to swipe their passes during the June 20-22 festival held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Several local clubs are expected to participate in EDC Week, held June 17-23.

Here we go again: During the March 7 debut of Gold Lounge’s new promo Discotheque—billed as a house music event on par with those in Brooklyn and LA—management reportedly received complaints from bottle buyers and subsequently asked the Downtown DJs it hired to play more commercial music. Memo to Light Group: You have that covered elsewhere.

And finally: David Guetta doesn’t play XS as frequently as his co-residents, but that changes this month. The French pop hitmaker’s six-week blitz at the club started last week and continues through April 12.
