Pasquale Rotella of Insomniac Events revealed last week that he’ll release the lineup for next month’s Electric Daisy Carnival on May 27, just three weeks before the sold-out, three-day DJ festival begins. His three-photo Instagram post seemed to be another temper-your-expectations reminder that EDC is more of an experience-based event and less of a traditional concert festival. So does this mean he didn’t sign Deadmau5 again? Kidding! (Sort of.)

When the Delano hotel brand takes over Mandalay Bay’s THEhotel later this year, changes and additions abound for the nighttime set. Mix, the restaurant and lounge on the property’s 64th floor, will become Rivea sometime in the winter. Another lounge closer to the ground, Franklin, will debut with signature cocktails, tapas-style dining and illuminated, sheer navy drapes to simulate a firefly-flecked evening.

Personal space was at a higher premium than bottles of Grey Goose at the successful launch of Snoop Dogg and Tao’s Snoopadelic Cabaret on May 3. The new resident not only threw down two separate DJ sets, but performed a half-hour MC set featuring several of his 1990s nuggets and sang a partial cover of “Pony” to acknowledge the presence of fellow rapper Ginuwine. Conversely, the hip-hop icon’s alter ego, Snoop Lion, was a no-show.

Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop at Paris has locked in weekly promos for its 10,000-square-foot Deck balcony, including a “decades”-themed party featuring DJ talent on Thursdays, cover act The Spazmatics on Fridays, and live reggae on Saturdays. All-you-can-drink draft beer ($30) and open bar ($50) options will also be on offer.
