On April 22, the 19th season of Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen cooking competition show came to a close with LA chef Kori Sutton taking the top prize, and she celebrated the win with other finalists, family and friends at Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen at Caesars Palace. It was also the first season to be filmed completely in Las Vegas, and the show will be back for season 20 on May 31.

Also at Caesars Palace, Bobby's Burger Palace by celebrity chef Bobby Flay (who is getting set to open Amalfi at the resort soon) has opened at the Forum Food Hall. The complete menu of signature burgers, shakes, fries and buttermilk onion rings is available, and the original Palace location on the Strip near the Waldorf Astoria remains open as well.

Phil’s Italian Steakhouse at Treasure Island reopened on April 22, bringing back its menu of prime cuts of meat, fresh seafood and classic Italian favorites for the first time since closing last March. Hours are Thursday through Sunday from 4 to 10 p.m.

Blume Kitchen & Cocktails recently launched Foreplay Mondays, the newest addition to its roster of nightly lounge events. Guests are invited to kick off the week with DJ music, two-for-one bottle specials and selections from a special late-night dining menu such as Kobe sliders, oysters and the Wagyu Baller Burger. The event continues at 10 p.m. Mondays.

Angry Crab Shack is set to debut its first location in Nevada this week with a grand opening party on April 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. at 4250 E. Sunset Road. Food and drink specials and games and activities will be part of the fun. Locals Rick and Dana Lopez are the local franchise owners and the family-friendly Shack is aiming to open 100 locations across the country by 2025. The menu is focused on signature seafood boils plus lobster rolls, po’ boys, fish and chips and more.

Dirt Dog is set to open its third Las Vegas location with a grand opening celebration set for May 3 at Neonopolis on Fremont Street. The LA-born hot dog spot also operates a kiosk at the Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s on the Strip and its first local store on South Rainbow Boulevard.

Nicole Brisson, who is preparing to open two new venues at Resorts World Las Vegas this summer, is teaming up with DJ Flores from Milpa for a pre-Cinco de Mayo pop-up on May 4 from noon until 7 p.m. at the new Mexican restaurant on Durango Road. On the menu: octopus tostadas, tamarind-glazed duck tacos and cilantro lime lobster tacos, among other dishes. West Coast Beverages and Califino Tequila will provide a mobile bar, and the event also includes live music, raffles and chef meet-and-greets.

Chinatown favorite District One is finally reopening on May 7. That Mother’s Day weekend will require reservations, which can be made by calling 702-413-6868.

The new Casa Calavera at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will launch Sunday brunch on May 9 featuring oversize sangria towers, chorizo and egg tacos, sweet corn tamales with salsa verde and huevos rancheros with shredded beef or carnitas. The cocktail menu will range from micheladas and palomas to the Oaxacan Mule and the Tequila Sunrise. Brunch service kicks off at 10 a.m. on Sundays and reservations are recommended.

Speaking of brunch, the Front Yard at Ellis Island Casino & Brewery is now offering it on Mondays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Weekend brunch is still available during those hours on Saturday and Sunday.
