Time to brush up on your metal and psych-rock, Southern Nevada.

Psycho Las Vegas has unveiled the lineup for its 2018 edition, and the heavy-music gathering has once again booked one of the most interesting festival bills around.

Topping the poster for Psycho—named the Valley’s best music festival by Las Vegas Weekly in 2017—are the Norwegian black-metal veterans of Dimmu Borgir, playing their only West Coast show of the year, and reunited Swedish garage-rockers The Hellacopters, scheduled to play just two gigs in 2018.

Also near the top of the bill: deafening, robed Seattle experimentalists Sunn 0))); English industrial-metal favorites Godflesh; longtime Norwegian black-metal outfit Enslaved; hardcore punk quartet American Nightmare; and droney Japanese trio Boris, which also played Psycho’s inaugural Vegas edition in 2016.

Also announced on Friday for the fest, which runs August 17-19 at venues throughout the Hard Rock Hotel: CKY, Red Fang, Rocket From the Crypt, Venom Inc., Eyehategod, Tinawiwen, Pallbearer, Integrity, With the Dead, Church of Misery, Voivod, Coven, Lucifer, Dopethrone, Helms Alee, Big Business, Monolord, Today Is the Day, Mutoid Man, Unearthly Trance, Batushka, All Pigs Must Die, Acid Witch, Spirit Adrift, Primitive Man, Wormwitch, Eight Bells, Cloak, Magic Sword, Wolvhammer, Necrot, Homewrecker, Brain Tentacles, Aseethe, Disastroid, Uada, Ghastly Sound, Dreadnought, King Buffalo, Forming the Void, Howling Giant, Venomous Maximums, Glaare, Black Mare, The Munsens, Night Horse and Temple of Void.

They’ll join previously announced acts Witchcraft, High on Fire, Goblin, Zakk Sabbath, Survive, Indian and DVNE.

Passes for Psycho are on sale now for $249 plus fees here. At last check, tickets remained for “Tier I,” which includes admission to an August 16 pool party with performances by Wolves in the Throne Room, Elder, Fireball Ministry, Dengue Fever and Toke.

Psycho’s 2018 DJ lineup will feature Andrew W.K., Nicke Andersson of The Hellacopters and Johanna Sadonis of Lucifer.
