It’s Britney Day, bitch!
That’s right—Clark County officially proclaimed today “Britney Day” in ode to pop star and Planet Hollywood headliner Britney Spears.
The “Piece of Me” performer will receive her official proclamation from Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak at a ceremony later today at the Linq Promenade. At the afternoon event Spears will also receive a Key to the Las Vegas Strip, which the Commission began bestowing in October 2013. The former pop princess (tear) is the eleventh person (or group of people) to receive the Key; other recipients include celebrity chefs Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay, founder of SLS' parent company SBE Sam Nazarian and the cast of Last Vegas.
So, how are Spears and her employer Caesars Entertainment celebrating? By inviting fellow Britneys—anyone named Britney with any spelling—to join the fun at the Linq tonight at 5:30 p.m.
