Mountain Ridge Little League at City Hall

Last month, Mountain Ridge Little League became the first team from Nevada to qualify for the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, advancing all the way to the national championship game. On Saturday, players and coaches were treated to a ceremony at Las Vegas City Hall and a police-escorted parade in an open-air double-decker Big Bus down the Las Vegas Strip. One highlight of the ceremony: an appearance by former UNLV coach Jerry Tarkanian, who presented a 1990 Runnin’ Rebels commemorative game ball to manager Ashton Cave.
