Monta, the Spring Mountain Road Japanese noodle house that started something of a ramen craze in Las Vegas when it opened in 2010, has launched a second restaurant in the Henderson area.

Monta Chaya is located at 9310 S. Eastern Ave. #116, just off Serene Avenue near Gold's Gym. It's open every day from 11:30 a.m. until 11 p.m., serving the same menu as the original with the addition of six new appetizers.

Monta becomes the latest Asian restaurant originating in Las Vegas' Chinatown district to expand to Eastern Avenue, joining Lee's Sandwiches, Pho Little Saigon and Pho Saigon 8, which all made similar moves in recent years.
