Jardin, a new restaurant taking the Encore space of the former Botero, opens today, December 18, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Joseph Zanelli, part of the opening culinary team at Wynn who was most recently managing partner of Blau & Associates overseeing neighborhood restaurants Honey Salt, Made L.V. and Andiron Steak & Sea, returns to Wynn/Encore as executive chef. New signature menu items include “bacon & eggs” with kimchi fried rice, herb-crusted salmon, and an American Wagyu ribeye cap pinwheel with arugula salad. Jardin is open Sunday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.

James Beard Award-nominated Miami restaurant Sugarcane Raw Bar & Grill is set to open at the Venetian in spring 2016, taking over the “restaurant row” space formerly occupied by V Bar. Helmed by executive chef and partner Timon Balloo, Sugarcane features three distinct kitchens—a raw bar, a robata grill and an open hot kitchen. The Las Vegas restaurant is designed by Parts and Labor Design.

The Feast of Seven Fishes holiday dinner returns to Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House at MGM Grand from December 23 to 27, a special four-course menu available for $80.

A slightly different tradition: Save your seat now for the 18th annual Lutefisk Dinner hosted by the Vegas Viking Lodge of the Sons of Norway, set for January 30 at 3 and 6 p.m. at the Boulder City Elks Lodge. Tickets won’t be sold at the door, they must be purchased by January 22 ($20 adults, $5 children). For more info, call 702-869-5775.
