Club Notes: EDC Week, Gronk Beach, Temptation Sundays and more

Insomniac has unveiled another incredible slate of events for EDC Week taking place at 17 different venues across the Las Vegas Valley leading up to and surrounding EDC 2022 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway May 20-22. Just a few of the musical parties catching our eyes: Partiboi69 at Discopussy in Downtown Las Vegas on May 18; the Bassrush Pool Party at Daylight Beach Club at Mandalay Bay on May 19; The return of elrow with various artists at XS at Wynn on May 19; Porter Robinson at Wet Republic at MGM Grand on May 19; Boris Brejcha, Ann Clue and Moritz Haufbauer at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on May 19; Deadmau5 at Zouk at Resorts World on May 20; and Armin van Buuren at Omnia at Caesars Palace on May 21. The grand opening of Tao Beach Dayclub at Venetian attracted plenty of stars to the Strip, beyond its incredible DJ and artist lineup including Afrojack, Fisher, Illenium, Kaskade, Mustard, Tyga and Lil Jon on April 1-3. Celebrities that showed up to celebrate the venue’s arrival: Kendall Jenner, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, Scott Disick, Brody Jenner, Winnie Harlow, Nina Agdal, Karrueche Tran, Sean Stewart, Steve Aoki and Tao Beach resident DJ Alesso, who will perform there for the first time on April 23. Breaking Bad stars Cranston and Paul also made the rounds this past weekend promoting their Dos Hombres Mezcal, swinging through the Underground at the Mob Museum for a bottle signing and cocktail tasting event and visiting Jenna and Michael Morton’s La Comida nearby for lunch and shots with fans on April 1. That night, the actors prepared some libations for guests at Fuhu at Resorts World before ducking into Zouk Nightclub and hanging in the booth with DJ Flight.

The Art of the Wild team of Framework and Wynn Nightlife is taking the brand to Coachella this month. An Art of the Wild party featuring Bedouin, Damian Lazarus and Michael Bibi, Dixon and Layla Benitez is set for the Ross Aviation Thermal Airport in Thermal, California (in the Coachella Valley) on April 17. Area15 will launch “On The Decks,” a digital NFT collection of stylized playing cards minted on the Polygon blockchain, with a party on April 23 at 10 p.m. featuring a performance by Palestinian techno queen Sama’ Abdulhadi. The collection will be available for purchase via digital auction on Open Sea through April 22, and auction winners will also receive exclusive passes to Area15. Gronk Beach Las Vegas will return to Encore Beach Club for NFL Draft weekend. Rob Gronkowski will host the party produced by Medium Rare and Wynn Nightlife featuring performances by the Chainsmokers, Kim Lee, DJ Five and the Deux Twins on April 29 starting at 11 a.m. Make your reservations at wynnsocial.com.

Luxor’s Temptation Sundays will be back to heat up summer on May 8. The longest-running LGBTQ+ pool party in Las Vegas will be launching its 12th season and continuing every Sunday through September 18, and this time Eduardo Cordova, owner of the Garden, will act as host.
