Of course DJ Snake named his debut album Encore—he’s playing three separate residency shows at the posh Strip resort this weekend alone.

The French hitmaker’s first full record has exploded since its early-August release, vaulting to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart on the strength of lead single “Let Me Love You,” featuring Justin Bieber. That track recently edged out the Calvin Harris-Rihanna tune “This Is What You Came For,” for the No. 1 ranking on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, and continues to do battle with another Bieber-anchored dance track, Major Lazer’s “Cold Water,” for the singles chart crown.

Snake’s captivating, exotic beats go far beyond the single. The producer has six Encore songs on that Hot Dance/Electronic chart—“The Half,” featuring Jeremih, Young Thug and Swizz Beatz; “Propaganda”; “Ocho Cinco,” featuring Yellow Claw; “Middle,” featuring Bipolar Sunshine; and “Talk,” featuring George Maple. The hip-hop-influenced sound of the album is “just who I am,” Snake told Radio.com. “I grew up with hip-hop and fell in love with electronic music. It’s just me—100 percent. This is who I am. This is what I’m about.” DJ Snake at Encore Beach Club, August 26; at Surrender at Encore August 27; at XS at Encore August 29.
