The Cosmopolitan’s cool is intact. The hip casino-resort just turned 5 and feels as fresh as ever, bolstered by new food and beverage options landing in 2016. Clique Lounge, replacing Book & Stage on the casino floor, is the first of the hot new fun, a sleek cocktail spot offering timeless charm with innovative twists.

And the flavor is ... smoked banana? You didn’t see that coming. Pedro Ximenez Sherry and chocolate bitters mingle with banana-infused Jameson and applewood smoke in the Bow Street Banana, one of the absolutely special specialty cocktails served from Clique’s unique tableside mixology cart, a conveniently luxurious feature that makes cozying up on a plush sofa with your crew as comfy as can be. The bite of caramelized and smoked banana, prepared before your eyes, completes this cocktail experience.

There’s a lot more. The Don Sandia shooters, playfully served in cucumber cups, smooth over Avión Silver with watermelon, lime and that magical Mexican spice mix known as tajín. Blackbeard’s Delight blends Bulleit Bourbon, blackberry, lemon and mint, topped off with ginger beer. It’d go great with a bite, but you’re not even ready to get into the snack menu from veteran Vegas Strip chef Brian Massie. The Clique experience is still unfolding, certainly to be continued. Clique Lounge at the Cosmopolitan, 702-698-7939. Nightly, 3 p.m.-3 a.m.
