For the past two years, summer in Las Vegas has meant more than big crowds and big parties under the sun at Encore Beach Club. Thursday’s wildly popular Encore Beach Club at Night has doubled down on the fun, electrifying the night with EBC’s mega-roster of DJs while utilizing both the beach club and Surrender Nightclub spaces.
This season, the Encore team found a way to expand again with a Friday-night party, which requires a significant strategy and hard work—it adds up to four service shifts in less than 48 hours, a volume no other club venue on the Strip is even attempting.
“The process of turning it over from day to night can be very challenging due to time restraints, especially Friday night to Saturday,” EBC GM Travis Shiraishi says. “It’s definitely all hands on deck.”
The staff—which numbers around 150 every day from service staff to engineers—begins prepping for the night party before the day party ends. Just breaking down and setting up the specialized DJ booth requires 25 people. Encore’s cleaning crew executes a deep-clean on the 60,000-square-foot venue between each shift, and the service team assists in flipping the 170 “pieces of real estate,” including cabanas and daybeds. “Our demands are high—we host 3,000 to 4,000 guests on a daily basis,” Shiraishi says. “We have to work like a well-tuned orchestra.”
