Mark your calendar for Avicii’s final Las Vegas dates

Avicii, the Grammy-nominated electronic dance DJ who frequently performed in Las Vegas, died Friday, April 20, 2018.

In an open letter on his website late last month, superstar Swedish DJ and producer Avicii (aka Tim Bergling) announced his retirement from touring and performing. “My path has been filled with success but it hasn’t come without its bumps. I’ve become an adult while growing as an artist, I’ve come to know myself better and realize that there’s so much I want to do with my life,” he wrote. “I have strong interests in different areas but there’s so little time to explore them.”

He wrote he will never let go of music, but that “this 2016 run” will be his last tour and last shows. Avicii was one of the biggest names on the DJ roster at Wynn and Encore, and the resorts announced today he is honoring all of his upcoming dates at XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club.

“We support Tim’s journey in life and wish him the very best,” said Wynn COO Sean Christie in the statement. “He knows our door is always open should he decide to tour again.”

Avicii wraps it up at XS on April 29; May 7, 14, 20 and 27; and June 24. He’ll spin at Encore Beach Club on April 30; May 8, 15, 21 and 28; and June 18 and 25. Tickets for the shows are on sale now at wynnsocial.com.
