Five Mexican Independence Day events to check out

1. FORUM SHOPS WRISTBAND SPECIAL Starting September 15, anyone checking in at the El Grito/InVegas hospitality desk can score discounts and goodies at many of the mall’s tenants—like a free Blanco Margarita at Border Grill.

2. HUSSONG’S ALL-DAY FIESTA From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. September 16, the lively eatery at the Mandalay Place shopping complex will offer a separate, traditional menu and specials on Mexican beer.

3. BROADACRES MARKETPLACE PARTY Starting at 4 p.m. on September 16, the North Las Vegas flea market hosts Noche de Grito, featuring Banda Estrella Sinaloense y Mariachi Herencia de Las Vegas onstage ($2).

4. MANÁ The Latin rock titans, often called the U2 of Spanish rock, headline the MGM Grand Garden Arena September 16 at 8 p.m. ($51-$265).

5. GLORIA TREVI Pop diva and gay icon Gloria Trevi performs what’s sure to be a high-energy setlist at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan September 17 at 7 p.m. ($29-$69).
