Issa Rae’s ‘Insecure’ anniversary, Paradice Festival with Kaytranada, Ricky Martin and more Las Vegas events on sale this week

After a successful debut year, We the Beat’s Paradice Festival returns for a second installment September 12 at its new home, the Sandbar at Red Rock Resort. The groove-focused fest features a headlining poolside performance by Grammy Award-winning producer Kaytranada, plus electro-soul duo Drama, London disco outfit Collect 200 and Vegas-based DJs Dmtri and Hooper. Tickets begin at $99 and are now on sale at paradicefest.com.

HBO’s Insecure, Issa Rae’s hit coming-of-age adult comedy, returns to the limelight for a 10-year anniversary celebration at the Palazzo Theatre on September 25. Joined by beloved co-stars Yvonne Orji (Molly) Jay Ellis (Lawrence) and Natasha Rothwell (Kelli), Rae and showrunner Prentice Penny will reflect on the Emmy-nominated television series that brought Black stories so vividly to life. The 13-city tour comes fresh off the launch of Rae and Penny’s Blocc Party: An Insecure Podcast, which will move the conversation from the couch to the stage. Another familiar face in country music, Brad Paisley returns to Encore Theater at Wynn with his acoustic show, One Man Six Strings, on November 6 and 7, with tickets available now at ticketmaster.com.

Sema Fest, the music-focused addition the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) car show, returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center November 6, headlined by The Offspring, Jimmy Eat World, 311 and The Alive. Tickets are on sale at semafest.com.

Russian metal outfit Slaughter To Prevail will take the stage at the Pearl Theater at Palms on September 17, with tickets available now at axs.com. –Brock Radke
