Before the Rx Boiler Room restaurant and cocktail bar served its first drink, chef/owner Rick Moonen and lead barman Nathan Greene made it clear they were planning to make a big impact on the Las Vegas mixology scene, including an open invitation to any bartender who wanted to moonlight, experiment or collaborate.

The team is making good on their promise—and raising money for charity along the way. A series of monthly guest mixologist events kicks off on Monday, September 16, when Greene teams up with Roger Gross of Cosmopolitan’s Vesper and Anthony Pullen, a brand ambassador for Bols Genever & Liquers and flair/mixology world champion, for Tiki Takeover. The guys will be serving up a selection of $7 cocktails using Bols and Atlantico Rum, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Helen David Memorial Fund. That organization, started by “Modern Mixologist” Tony Abou-Ganim, provides assistance to bartenders affected by breast cancer.

The swanky festivities begin at 8 p.m. and run until midnight Monday at Rx Boiler Room, located above RM Seafood at Mandalay Place.
