Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 19, for “Good vs. Evil: An Evening with Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert” at the Pearl at the Palms, set for February 9 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices start at $59, plus service fees, and are available at the Pearl’s box office (944-3200) or through any Ticketmaster vendor (800-745-3000, ticketmaster.com).
Bourdain, chef, author and renowned TV host, has been teaming up with his friend Ripert, highly acclaimed chef at New York City’s Le Bernardin and a food author and TV regular in his own right, for a series of roughly two-hour live stage shows full of storytelling and humorous conversation. A February show in Michigan featured the two chefs playfully roasting each other while sipping beer, some typical Bourdain tirades against the likes of Guy Fieri and Paula Deen, and the seemingly mild-mannered Ripert confessing he once punched a restaurant patron.
Most recently, Bourdain published a graphic novel about a killer sushi chef called Get Jiro! and signed on for a new series on CNN next year, and Ripert published his fourth book, Avec Eric: A Culinary Journey with Eric Ripert.
A limited number of VIP tickets for “Good vs. Evil” will be available, which includes upgraded seating, a meet-and-greet session with Bourdain and Ripert following the show, complimentary hors d’oeuvres from Palms restaurants N9NE Steakhouse, Heraea and Simon, and a VIP tour laminate and a limited edition poster.
