Neighborhood restaurant favorite Honey Salt is teaming up with a local food truck operator to host a fundraising event to benefit Ukrainian refugees on April 20 from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Rampart Commons center at the corner of West Charleston and Rampart.

Las Vegan Bart Wawrzyszak, owner of Custom Pizza Truck, is a native of Lublin, Poland, one of the largest cities closest to the Ukrainian border. Lublin has taken in an estimated 60,000 refugees since Russia invaded Ukraine.

The event on April 20 is designed to raise money and awareness for humanitarian needs in Lublin and donations and proceeds will help provide survival essentials to refugees there. In addition to food and drinks from Honey Salt and Custom Pizza Truck, other local small businesses including Dee Berkley Jewelry, Fukuburger and more will be participating.

For those who cannot attend but wish to contribute, donations can be made via Paypal here.
