Homer Simpson once said, “Donuts! Is there anything they can’t do?” This sentiment takes on a new level of indulgence at Donutique, a luxurious haven where doughy delights aren’t only a treat for your tastebuds, but also for your eyes.

Since opening last August near the “Love” sculpture at Venetian’s Waterfall Atrium, Donutique has quickly gained attention for its sweet offerings, highly Instagrammable furnishings and “it girl” ambiance. Those who aren’t yet hip to the spot will walk in and immediately notice that this isn’t the typical mom and pop bakery. Instead, the decor includes flower arrangements, chandeliers and artwork with a coquettish charm blended with an edgy vibe through graffiti accents. It’s as if Marie Antoinette picked up a spray can and had some fun.

And it’s hard to not appreciate the artistry that goes beyond the storefront. These doughnuts are crafted by one of our favorite local pastry chefs, Keris Kuwana. You’ll have the urge to box up the entire selection, but here are a few must-tries to nibble on during your initial visit: the birthday cake doughnut has a vanilla glaze and is topped with housemade pastel rainbow sprinkles and a three layer mini cake ($9); the tiramisu is filled with a balanced coffee mousse that perfectly pairs with coffee glaze ($10); and the blueberry-yuzu doughnut is stuffed with a rich compote and yuzu mousse, glazed with blueberry frosting and topped with a candied lemon slice and meringue kisses ($9).

As you prepare to dig in, you’ll likely be seduced by the aromatics from the coffee bar, where skilled baristas can craft anything from a dirty iced matcha to a rich, velvety latte. Thanks to the chef ’s artisanal approach, Donutique stands out as a sweet experience that’ll have locals coming back and visitors talking about it nonstop.
