Step into the magical world of Oz during DISCOVERY’s Wickedly Fun Weekend! Families are invited to enjoy three enchanting days filled with hands-on creativity, spellbinding science, lively performances, and imaginative play inspired by everyone’s favorite Wicked and Oz characters.

Ongoing Activities

Explore an entire land of wonder as you craft, build, design, and discover:
Brilliant Broomsticks – Fashion your own broomstick fit for Shiz University.
Building Oz – Add your creative touch to our collaborative DISCOVERY Lab building project.
Crystal Ball Creation – Design your own magical crystal ball and gaze into the future.
Fantastic Flying Monkeys – Engineer and test your own flying monkey automaton.
Friendship Bracelets – Create a bracelet inspired by the bond between Glinda and Elphaba.
Imagination Playground – Help construct Shiz University’s newest “building.”
Oz Glasses – No journey to Oz is complete without a pair of emerald admission glasses!
Whimsical Wands – Craft Glinda-approved bubble wands for your own personal magic.
Witch Hat & Crown Design – Adorn and design a conical hat or crown for your favorite Wicked character.

Creative Spotlight Activities
Paint a Masterpiece (Toddler Town)
Create a pink-and-green Wicked-themed artwork using special paints. Presented by PNC.

Discover Illustrators & Designers (Young at Art)
Explore Wicked’s 125-year journey across books, films, and stage through the lens of illustrators and designers who brought Oz to life.

Cinematographic Filters (Patents Pending)
Learn how early filmmakers used color filters—including red/blue anaglyphs—to create the iconic visual world of Oz.
