High-dollar crash pads

It’s far better that you crash at one of these high-end bachelor (or bachelorette) pads at CityCenter’s Veer Towers than attempt to make it out to whichever corner of this sprawling burg you call home after a long day and night of party party party. If you can swing it—studios start at $500,000—you can pick up a tasty little flat in the heart of MGM Mirage’s $9 billion CityCenter project that comes fully furnished for the nightlifestyle. Each turnkey package includes designer-selected furniture, area rugs, lighting, home accessories, artwork, luxury kitchen and custom bedding and linens package, plus solar shades and a big-screen Magnolia flat-panel TV. You can also opt for the Zoom Room, featuring a space-saving retractable bed, or go all custom and trick out your pad with a $12,000 Robb & Stuckey Interiors gift card. And while you do that, retail shops, restaurants, nightlife and entertainment will be doing their own job of moving into CityCenter all around you. For more info visit Citycenter.com

All you need is … the VIP treatment

The Vegas VIP experience ante has recently been upped with the premiere of Love Tapis Rouge at the Mirage last month. No, it’s not a new nightclub, but literally a “red carpet” (the English translation of “tapis rouge”) treatment for fans of The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil. For $295 per person, Tapis Rouge gives patrons a virtual behind-the-scenes look at Love during a special reception before the show at Revolution Lounge. Beginning at 8:30 p.m., Thursdays through Mondays, Tapis Rouge guests are treated to hors d’oeuvres and specialty cocktails while hosts provide insight on the production via behind-the-scenes footage and backstage video from Love.

Tapis Rouge was introduced in 1999 for Cirque’s Dralion tour and is still offered in the Cirque du Soleil touring division. Here in Vegas, Love is the first permanent installation to adopt the VIP Tapis Rouge concept. Included is a customized gift bag with Tapis Rouge merchandise (Vegas socialites love those gift bags!), VIP escorted access from Revolution to the Love Theatre and a VIP line at concessions (socialites don’t “do” lines). The VIP treatment doesn’t stop after the show. Tapis Rouge guests also receive complimentary weeklong VIP access to Revolution, complete with handy-dandy Tapis Rouge lanyards. Of course, the ticket price for Love and one of the best seats in the house is included in the package, but this VIP treatment is only available for the 21-and-up crowd.
