UNLV First Look Dunk Contest | Thomas & Mack Center | October 18, 2012 | 7:43 PM

Expectations for the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels are higher this season than they have been for a long time. They have one of the top recruiting classes in the country, two players—junior Mike Moser and freshman Anthony Bennett—who could legitimately enter the NBA draft after the season, and a preseason Top 20 ranking for the first time since the heady days of the Tarkanian era. With a heavily loaded frontcourt, likely redshirt freshman Demetris Morant made the most of what could be his final appearance of the year by leaping over mascot Hey Reb during the dunk competition.

  • Not your usual night at the slots: While the conference is open only to registrants, the public can attend one talk and meditation.
