Quick Bites: Jack Binion’s Steak, CraftHaus’ Rebel Spirit, Carversteak cocktails and more Vegas food and drink news

As Bally’s continues its transformation into Horseshoe Las Vegas, the center Strip resort has announced it will open Jack Binion’s Steak in June during the World Series of Poker. The restaurant is “an integral part of the legacy and experience of Horseshoe Casinos throughout the U.S.,” according to the announcement, and the Las Vegas location is currently hiring for all positions at caesars.com/careers.

CraftHaus Brewery has released the official beer for UNLV, Rebel Spirit Golden Ale, available at all games held at the Thomas & Mack Center and distributed through Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits. With a 5% ABV and smooth, crisp finish, Rebel Spirit’s label was created by Victoria Hart of Pink Kitty Creative, inspired by the college and iconic Flashlight sculpture on the UNLV campus. A portion of the proceeds from the brew will be donated to the university.

Bonanno’s New York Pizza Kitchen has opened its newest location at the corner of Hualapai and Russell, owned and operated by Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group and open daily from 11:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. To celebrate the opening, guests that post their orders with the hashtag #BitesAtBonannos through June 30 will be entered to win a $25 gift card.

Noodles & Company is set to open its first Nevada location in Las Vegas at the corner of Sahara and Rancho on June 12. Offering global pasta favorites from penne rosa and pesto cavatappi to mac and cheese and pad Thai, Noodles & Company plans to open two to four more locations in Las Vegas in 2023. The new eatery will operate from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday.

Sickies Garage Burgers & Brew at Town Square is celebrating its 10th anniversary after the burger and bar brand first got rolling in 2012 in Fargo, North Dakota. A special limited-time anniversary menu will be available throughout June at all eight locations across the country, including favorites like the Tater Tot Hot Dish Burger, fried potato salad, chili cheese fries and Buffalo chicken cheese balls. A new dessert menu will also launch on June 1 with caramel butter cake, New York crème brulee cheesecake, funnel cake fries and more.

Carversteak at Resorts World has unveiled a new summer cocktail menu crafted by Francesco Lafranconi, with many drinks using herbs sourced from the restaurant’s own outdoor herb garden. Among the seasonal offerings: Hello Sunshine with Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla gin, Yellow Chartreuse, Pallini Limoncello, lime and marmalade Bergamot bitters; Apricot Al Fresco with Russell’s Reserve 10-year, Luxardo Amaretto, rosemary-mint syrup, lemon and apricot puree; and Summer Trail with American Harvest organic vodka, Pomp & Whimsy Liqueur, lemon verbena syrup, lemon juice and Fever-Tree elderflower tonic.

MGM Resorts is celebrating Pride month with the Love Out Loud Bar Crawl across six of its properties on the Las Vegas Strip throughout June. Any guest 21 years of age or older who visits a participating bar, lounge or restaurant through June 30 will receive a Pride bar crawl passport, and the purchase of a themed drink in a collectable rainbow cup along with a special stamp in the passport at all six venues will qualify each guest to receive a swag bag, available for pickup at the Luxor front desk. The venues are Level Up at MGM Grand, Rhythm & Riffs at Mandalay Bay, Juniper and Primrose at Park MGM, Aurora at Luxor, the Lounge at Excalibur and Center Bar at New York-New York. The Mirage also will participate in a resort-wide crawl where passports, special drinks and stamps will be available at several venues including Rhumbar, Center Bar, the Still and more.

New summer dishes are on the menu now at Anima by EDO at the Gramercy: Crispy artichokes with Stracciatella, tomato relish and house-made duck prosciutto; eggplant parmigiana with tomato powder and crispy basil; lamb chops al Ajillo with salsify and nut picada; and turbot with black butter-ginger Hollandaise.

New menu items are now available at Grand Lux Café at Palazzo and Venetian. Some standouts include: General Tso’s cauliflower; Korean baby back ribs; citrus crunch salad with fresh orange, apricots, avocado, carrots and greens; Fuji apple chicken salad sandwich; the Island Burger with caramelized onions, bacon, cheese and pineapple slaw; and spicy vodka pasta with Italian sausage, pancetta and parmesan.
