ARTS: OPERA LAS VEGAS: PAGLIACCI The opera Pagliacci revolves around an Italian street theater troupe whose backstage jealousy and betrayal erupt into a shocking tragedy. You’ll want to see that unfold in real time, as Opera Las Vegas brings an esteemed cast to Ruggero Leoncavallo’s 1892 masterpiece for the nonprofit’s season finale. Singing in Italian with English and Spanish supertitles, tenor Ben Gulley plays head of the troupe, Canio. He joins OLV general director Cecilia Violetta López, who plays Canio’s adulterous wife, and Grammy Award-winning baritone Gabriel Preisser as the wife’s lover.
