If you haven’t had a pork verde sopapilla with green chile at Carlito’s Burritos, you haven’t lived. And if you have, you can live again because the New Mexican restaurant’s new location is finally up and running at 4300 E. Sunset Road, behind Joe’s Crab Shack and on the same side of the street as the Galaxy Green Valley Luxury+ movie theater. The Patrick/Pecos location closed permanently November 25.

In addition to the Navajo tacos, dessert sopapillas and its namesake burritos, the Valley favorite will add Central California Coast barbecue, also known as Santa Maria barbecue, in the next couple of weeks under the name Live-Fire-Q. The joint kitchen will serve beef tri-tip, chicken and sausages cooked on open-wood pits—the same dishes they sold at the old location on weekends.

Also back in the next week or so: booze! When you go in to eat all the sopapillas, get a Cadillac margarita, too.
